Telegram 创始人杜罗夫（Pavel Durov）在其个人Telegram频道发布消息，该服务目前拥有超过 10 亿活跃用户。这一数字高于去年报告的9.5亿月活跃用户。
杜罗夫还指出，该公司去年的利润为 5.47 亿美元。他曾在去年12月宣布过该公司的盈利情况，但当时没有提供具体数字。
该创始人最近在获得法国批准后返回迪拜，他还批评了 Meta 旗下的竞争对手 WhatsApp，称其为廉价的仿制品。
杜罗夫说：“🔼 用户活跃度也在不断上升。平均每位用户每天打开 Telegram 21 次，并在应用上花费 41 分钟。同时，我们的营收增长惊人，2024 年的利润达到了 5.47 亿美元 💵”

杜罗夫因涉嫌在 Telegram 上进行有组织的欺诈、非法交易和分享 CSAM（儿童性虐待材料）等犯罪活动而受到法国调查。8月，他还被警方拘留了几天。
除了中国腾讯旗下的微信（Wechat）以外，WhatsApp在热门聊天平台上遥遥领先，每月活跃用户超过 20 亿。两家公司也在竞相通过企业账户和频道等各种功能来吸引企业和创作者的注意力。
Telegram 还通过整合 TON 区块链、钱包和去中心化应用生态系统来吸引加密爱好者，用于解锁内容、给创作者打赏以及小程序和游戏的应用内购买。该公司还于 1 月通过第三方账户网络推出了去中心化验证系统。
